We’re bringing you another roundup of the upcoming Roller Derby this weekend from across the world. As always, we’re using Flat Track Stats for much of this information – for regions with less good coverage, we also do a bit of intensive searching using a tool which scans the Facebook events of Roller Derby leagues known to Derby Listing.

Predictions of bouts are from FTS, if possible, and from our own SRD Rank where FTS cannot make predictions (for example: Latin America, or non-MRDA men’s bouts).  (SRDRank also has recent WFTDA rankings, including the 31st June ranking, as well as SRDRank, and allows you to make predictions from them.)

Scotland

This weekend, there's no bouts in Scotland, but:

  • Friday, Dundee: Dundee Roller Girls' Open Scrims are open this time to anyone covered by the WFTDA Gender policy (women and non-binary and gender-expansive people) [EVENT]
  • Dundee: Glasgow Men's Roller Derby host the 5th of their Jammer Club jamming-focussed mini-bootcamp sessions. [EVENT]
  • Edinburgh: Auld Reekie Roller Girls host their annual Snowball celebrating another year of derby for the team and the community around them [EVENT]

UK

With December beginning, there's still derby happening, but many bouts are Christmas themed...:

  • Culm, England: South West Angels of Terror host a super scrim event, open to all skaters (despite the problematic language, this event is Open To All) [EVENT]

  • Okinawa, Japan: Okinawa Roller Derby host a bout themed around the most important winter tradition: the next Star Wars film! The Resistance will be taking on the First Order on track, with skaters from ORD and Devil Dog Derby Dames [EVENT]
